Hi all, I am new joiner here, although I have been lurking this forum for quite some time. I have made my research about my problem in other similar posts before I issued this one. I do hope this is the right section for placing this question.
I have a Ford Kuga 2015 that I upgraded from Sync1 to Sync3 by using an APIM sourced from USA (do not know the exact car model where it came from) and a Chinese harness that was supposedly tailor made for this type of car. I am also using the glossy black Sony FCIM from Sync2.
After the HW installation and some coding in ACM, APIM and PAM the system works almost perfectly except for the:
a. Steering wheel controls which demonstrate a completely erratic behavior (some time they change volume up and down, sometimes not, other times the change Source…)
b. Voice commands do not work at all. The center button on the right hand side key assembly does not respond.
I tend to believe that the harness is the culprit, but before ordering a new one or trying to modify the existing (which I would like to avoid as I do not feel very confident in doing it) I would like to exhaust all my chances in fixing the problem by providing the correct codes.
Based on what I read in another post I changed the following field but it did not help:
7D0-01-01 xxXX-xxxx-xxxx to 28 (it was previously 6B)|
Any idea on what other code may be related to this problem would be highly appreciated.
In case it helps, these are the details for my APIM SW:
Part number: HP5T-14G371-CCA
Calibration level: HP5T-14G371-CCG (latest known: HP5T-14G371-CGF)
Strategy: GB5T-14G374-CB
Calibration: GB5T-14G375-CA
Many thanks!
Best Regards
