My 2015 Fiesta came with the monochrome sync 1.1 screen from factory.
I recently fitted a colour sync 1.1 screen (non-nav) from a Kuga or Focus.
The screen works great, including voice control, bluetooth, phone, etc.
There’s only two connectors on the back (12-pin and camera), so I only have the 12-pin connected since my car doesn’t have the reverse camera.
The new FCDIM doesn’t display any vehicle info, including the vehicle settings (traction cont., ambient light, turn signal flash, etc), door open message, and display settings (auto/manual brightness, km or miles, language)
I would love to be able to see this info on the screen and use it for its vehicle settings which I cannot access otherwise.
As far as I am aware, the the APIM, ACM, and FCDIM combo in the Kuga, Focus, and Fiesta are the same (given model year, features/trim) so I would like to figure out and fix what’s causing this.
BTW, I have played around in Forscan to see if any of the options were disabled or wrong, nothing changed. There is a DTC saying the APIM has lost communication with the FCDIM.
Is a software update needed for some of the modules? A change in ASbuilt settings?

If I remember correctly, I don’t think I remember seeing any configuration options for the FCDIM, as in, under the configuration menu where you choose which module to program, the FCDIM is not there at all. My adapter is specifically designed for FORscan and has a switch for MSCAN/HSCAN.
You did spark a light bulb moment and made me realise that the reason none of this is showing up on the FCDIM is because on most of the cars, these messages and settings are in the instrument cluster. This FCDIM obviously gets the data but doesn’t do anything with it since it thinks the instrument cluster is doing its job. Naturally in a Fiesta the instrument cluster is pretty basic and does not have all of this information and settings.
I’ll check tomorrow and double check if I have the ASbuilt option for the FCDIM. however, even if it’s there, I can’t find any info in terms of what each value represents.
Also, how can I perform a proper reset? I think I’ve done a module reset, but doesn’t that only restart it?
