Focus MK3 Forscan Profile needed!

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to configure and modify a Ford Focus Mk3 IPC on the bench using FORScan.

The IPC is connected on with an ELM327 to my laptop. The problem is that I do not have the original vehicle anymore and I also do not have a BCM available, so I cannot perform a full vehicle scan and generate a FORScan vehicle profile myself.

What I am specifically looking for is a FORScan vehicle profile from a compatible vehicle, I was hoping somebody could share with me the profile. Thanks in advance!

This is the method that has worked for me:

  1. Use the latest version of FORScan and delete the saved vehicle profiles.

  2. Connect to your vehicle, let FORScan identify the modules, and create and save a new profile.

  3. Close FORScan, reopen it, and scan the vehicle again. When prompted to select a profile, choose the one you just created.

  4. Open the IPC’s As-Built configuration and read the data.

  5. Once all the As-Built data appears, unplug the ELM327 from the vehicle without ending the connection in FORScan.

  6. Connect the ELM327 to your bench setup, load the configuration or make your changes, then click Write.

I’ve been using a saved profile from my 2015 F-150 for this process. In my experience, it has also worked with other Ford vehicles mustang ,expedition,f150 explorer and so on it as to be in the same year range 2015 to 2020 and 2021 to 2023 model-year ranges.

This is a workaround based on my own testing.
