Ok, copying…
I will let you know when it is done!
(I guess the reformat.lst is missing from my usb?)
Yes I see the typo in my code. A automatic update will be released shortly.
Yes it created a autoinstall and a reformat but my code wrongly generates the wrong one for “below sync 3.2”
It looks better, the reformat is copied to my usb.
I will try to update the system and let you know the result.
After this if I want to update to F9 I just need to do the download with F9 update checkbox and copy to usb like now?
Unfortunately not, if you go to above 19274 you can’t use the reformat tool any more. I would suggest just doing the update with nav straight away. Also 20021 is buggy for some do you may prefer 19101
New version just uploaded, you should be prompted to update on next start.
Ohhh…
I updated the system to 3.4 but the navigation says: Navigation malfunction.
Yes because you have wiped the navigation. You now need to use the downgrade package on my website in optional extras delete all files from your usb and extract that to it. Then reinstall with navigation
Ok, I will do it. I thought that the 3.4 can be handling F7 maps.
In this case I will do the downgrade and update it again with F9.
I appreciate for you help and support!
it does but in order to go from below 3.2 to 3.2 or above you need to re format, hence the reformat.lst
could you help me? the Android auto does work, I used no Navi version for China area
You may need to wipe your android auto settings on your phone and reconfigure as a new device on the car. also make sure you have master reset on the sync 3
sorry somehow i missed this reply, still getting used to this new community
Make sure to master reset after installing 3.4 with navigation, then you may need to drive around a bit before it shows, sometimes 2 resets are needed, make sure you installed the navigation for the correct country also.
Hi I’m having an issue with USB hub not supported on start up
2016 ford Taurus sho I have done master reset three times
And gone back in the forum to March can’t seem to find anyone else talking about it
2015/2016 was a weird year for Sync 3, you will need a new USB hub to make it work on Sync 3.4, if you join our discord i’m sure someone can offer some advice, i only really know the parts for the Focus.
Good afternoon,
I have downloaded and created the USB stick with 20021 on it. I was reading though all of the posts and saw a not that some were experiencing issues with 20021 and recommended possibly going to 19101. I am just wondering if you have a summary of what these glitches might be before I upgrade? Not meaning to reinvent the wheel, but I have a 2017 Explorer Sport and thought I might do this upgrade finally, but that had me take pause. Just wondering what I might lose/gain with 20021? I don’t have the heart to brick this thing if 20021 is that unstable, vs a hassle. I build the USB using your 1.0 Downloader- which is awesome by the way. I had previously built the two USB’s and came back today to check some threads and saw your new tool. Rebuilt using it and was flawless.
Any ways, any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
By the way I am on 3.0 - Build 19206
Hi, Welcome.
I would highly advise upgrading to 3.4 but not to 20021, i would recommend using 19101 or 19200 (although i don’t currently have 19200 on the tool) there are many bugs with 20021 but not with 3.4 as a whole. the bugs with 20021 are things like randomly reverting to radio in the middle of USB playback and many others, honestly i have barely used 20021 so i can’t offer much more advise than that.
I appreciate the kind words and glad you find the tool useful i have also just added part of my tool to the guide,
Sounds good… I redownloaded everything with the tool for 19101 and rebuilding the USB stick now. Thanks for the input! Also to confirm, recommend doing the Master Reset twice after upgrade- coming with a NAV system?
Anything else you have seen on the regular for issues, missing items, just to be prepared? I read a few posts about missing the Climate button and needing to use ForSCAN. I have that, but haven’t used it at all yet. Figured I would check.
Thanks again for putting this all together, pretty awesome.
I downloaded the “3.4.X to 3.4.19101” file, copied to usb.
With the FSUD I dowloaded the 3.4.19101 with F9 update pack. (my current version: 3.4 below 19274)
Should it work, am I right?
- use the tool to downgrade 3.4.19101
- use the update usb with F9 update
