Just a huge thank you for this forum and software.
I bought a 2018 Ford Mondeo titanium with a 162,000 on for £1200 recently to replace our POS MG5 due back this month now it’s pcp is up and electric prices have gone sky high (although now so has diesel lol). Anyway I bought the car with a few issue’s with the main one being the engine had destroyed 7 of 8 rocker arms and some valves, The egr had more coal than the naughty boys home at christmas and whom ever worked on it previously didn’t know how to undo a plug and just kept snapping them off. Anyhow I fixed all that only to find the head unit was as much use as an actual brick, any press of the button and it could take upto 10 minutes before said buttong followed with it’s action. Tried all the usual official updates and nothing worked (just said upto date) tried options with forscan but had no look, and after a quick google came across this website.
I used the latest installer, selected maps for Europe and limited language pack, installed it all onto a 32gb usb and plugged it in with not great expectations tbh. Well sure enough the unit’s as good as new and I am sure the missis won’t appreciaite it as much as I do but it’s saved me pulling the entire unit out to replace with an aftermarket one.
