Hello, I have a 2017 Continental that I switched modem from 3g to 4g. everything is working fine except when i start the vehicle with the app it says the vehicle failed to start when it in fact did start. Could this be an app issue or a configuration problem? Any thoughts appreciated.
Since you’ve upgraded the TCU have you uninstall the app and reinstalled it on your phone?
What did you use for the source config in the new TCU?
I did reinstall the app. I’m not sure about what the source configuration should be.
2017 & 2018 Conti came with a 3G TCU so you would need to use a config from a model that came with J or L series.
Here’s the AB for a 2019 that came with a J series, assuming you dropped a J series in your car you should be able to drop the config from the AB below into your TCU and get things squared away.
2019 Lincoln Cont-1LN6L9SKXK5607254.ab (49.8 KB)
I’m sure this is a totally stupid question. How do I open this file? I’ve been using for scan and I assume it was a Excel file or something
Save the file to your laptop.
Connect to your car with Forscan, go to the TCU, select load from file, save and write.
You’ve now loaded the TCU config for a Conti with a 4G J series TCU.
Go to Sync3 screen, do a Master Reset, after if comes back, open Fordpass and accept the prompts on the APIM screen.
