Looking for a breakdown of the AB data for a 2012 Fusion, wanting to disable Traction/Stability control. Getting hard throttle cuts on corner exit until the car thinks that it is no longer in danger of losing traction. Tires aren’t even close to the limits of traction, and it is definitely hurting lap times at this point. I know I could just pull the ABS fuse, but I’d like to still have that nanny if possible.
What you are experiencing is the Advancetrac Stability Control. This is more than just ABS and includes a lot of dynamic vehicle parameters to make decisions about throttle, brakes, shocks, etc. Modifying asbuilt data will not likely get the desired results. That said…
You can disable the traction control via the dash mounted button or IPC menu. This only does so much to disable certain features, or nannies. However, it will not fully disable the Stability Control.
