As the topic title says, I am looking for information about the effects/functions for each address of GWM asbuilt.
I am trying to enable zone lighting in my 2025 latin american Ford Ranger. So far I have been able to get the zone lighting section appearing on screen (7D0-01-03) and enabling zone lighting in BCM (726-84-02). The on/off button in zone lighting section was not working so I tried changing GWM’s 716-02-01 from x2xx xxxx xx to xBxx xxxx xx, as seen in F250 forum. This made the on/off button responsive (good!) but when clicking on the zones I get a message saying the functionality is disabled to save battery… However, I would like to know what each byte/bit in 716-02-01 does. Any help?
For the 2021+ GWM concerning zone lighting, 716-02-01 xXxx xxxx xxxx is the setting which enables or disables the feature.
Disabled = 0-7
Enabled = 8-F
716-14-01 xXxx will set the number of zones.
0=2 zones
1=4 zones
There is no decoded dataset for the GWM released to the public.
This may be the wrong setting, from 2 it should be A. This also enables zone lighting but leaves the other features unchanged.
Do you know if these 2 settings in GWM need to be replicated to BCM 726-84-02, which seem to serve for the same purpose?
Even though there now seems to exist communication between APIM and the lights, since zone lighting on/off button is functional and exterior lamp indicators show the status of the lamp switch in the screen, when clicking on any of the available 2 zones I get message saying that “Zone lighting has been disabled to save battery”. Is there any other setting I need to enable?

GWM 716-02-01: 3A24 0100 00
GWM 716-14-01: 00
Take the truck for at least a 1/2 hour trip and then park it and try the zone lighting. If it does not give you the battery saver message, then your system is seeing the battery low.
My Ranger does not have puddle lights under the mirrors so I think I would not be able to light up the side zones and better stay with a 2 zones setting.
Do you know what 716-06-09, 716-24-02 and 716-27-02 are used for?
What’s your complete setting for 7D0-01-04? According to the spreadsheet I use, it seems like the value you’ve shared is used for 360 camera setting instead of zone lighting.

This is 360 Zone Lighting, not cameras, sets number of zones. Must agree with BCM.
