Hello, the Ford page tells me that I have a map update available (not for Sync) but it’s impossible to update via Wi-Fi (it tells me it’s updated, but then on the Ford website it’s not), also impossible via USB, the files are not valid. I have updated with the latest maps with CyanLabs and even so it tells me that I have an update. I understand that the latest maps from here are not really the latest??
Thanks.
PS: Is it possible to introduce POIs (I would like to add speed cameras)?
Hello.
Which files?, share the full names please, or the provided autoinstall.lst file (that has all of that).
Does not matter, unless you tell Ford what the unit has, Ford won’t evern know what you did via Syn3updater.
No, it’s not.
I download the files from Ford’s website, but they are not valid, I think they are incomplete. I attach the names of the folder files
Map_49471_Update.zip
autoinstall.lst (279 Bytes)
The autoinstall.lst only references 2 tools, not a single package installation.
I do not know what the .zip file contains, but if that’s .lst file, it won’t ever install anything.
That’s right. That’s what the official Ford website downloads when I try to install via USB. And via Wi-Fi, it says it’s up to date. But when I check on the official website, it says there are maps available. The zip file only contains those two files. That’s why I used the Sinlabs option to try and force the download of all the files. After successfully completing the update, it tells me I still have a pending map update. That’s why I’m asking if the Sinlabs maps are the latest or if there’s a newer version.
If a new version would had been found it would be already added to Syn3updater. That does not mean Ford has started rolling out a new version, but it’s not yet been found (if that’s the case).
It’s been about a year since the last NAV update, so something should surface in the next weeks/months.
Okay. Thank you very much for this and for the previous information about the speed cameras as well. I’ll keep an eye out.
