So after some time I managed to provide my APIM with Medium and HS Can. I cant seem to get the rear cam and mic to function. Is it possibly because I’m on sync 2.2.16280? I will provide info below. I am using aftermarket cam and mic as well if that helps.
Those will likely not work with Sync. You need to communicate with the camera thru the BCM and the video going to Sync.
Was afraid of that. Any suggestions? The mic and cam are the last 2 things left before I leave it alone.
Update. Bought an OEM mic and is good with that. Anyone have any thoughts on the rear cam issue?
What vehicle are you working with? If your model and year came with a backup camera in a higher trim package the easiest way is research what you need to put a OEM camera in it, sometimes you need a different trunk harness if it’s a sedan sometimes you don’t, at the very least you probably need the camera and the trim piece.
