Hey guys, I have a question on a Sync 1 to Sync 2 conversion I did recently. Everything works as it should, bluetooth, reverse camera, etc… but I cannot for the life of me figure out why the on-screen climate control buttons do not work even though the physical buttons work fine (heat and cool are reversed, but I have seen some forums online about simply swapping the pins to fix this). The main menu screen just displays a power button in the climate control quadrant; when clicking into the climate menu, nothing works either. I press the button; it pauses, then does nothing.
Edit: The climate control in the car is manual and single zone
Here is the VIN of my 2015 Fusion SE:
1FA6P0H70F5111057
Here is the VIN of the donor screen and APIM (2013 Escape):
1FMCU0GX0DUA24183
And here are the current APIM as-built values I have set in the Fusion:
Those were the obvious ones from a Fusion SE that came with MFT.
I’m assuming you also made the changes to enable the remote start options on the IPC.
What year did the donor FCIM come from?
2013 can be used in the 2014-2015 with the firmware updated, 2014-2015 had a TSB for remote start climate issues that required a calibration update, 2016 can be used since the only change was to get rid of the cap touch buttons.
MY2017+ is where things start changing due to Sync3 and getting interesting, as an example the putting the seat buttons on the screen works without any problems on the 2017-2019, take the same APIM AB settings, drop them in an L series APIM and it kills the button functions on the FCIM & screen until the firmware in the FCIM is updated to the last release.
