Retrofit Sync3 To Sync4 Screen Error

I recently performed a Sync 3 to Sync 4 retrofit on my 2018 F-150 (using the Fordsync4.com kit); the APIM, screen, and AC controls were all replaced. It worked almost perfectly! The problem lies with the screen layout, which is completely messed up. The AC function tabs don’t work and are jumbled, access to the settings menu has disappeared, the Home button is unresponsive, and the graphical volume indicator constantly shows the volume at “minimum,” among other issues. Could someone help me fix this using Forscan?

Was Fordsync4.com unable to help? Hmmm, wonder why.

You need to insist they help you with this…not that we want to help, they are completely responsible for selling half baked upgrades.

However, if you cannot get them to help, come back here, we will try to help.

There… I managed to fix it! Luckily, I had a screenshot of the “original” settings and restored them. The problem was in Block 3: 7D0-03-01, where the codes were different.

The error wasn’t their fault! It was working when I installed it, but several functions weren’t enabled, so I went through and fixed them item by item. However, at some point, I altered a line of code, and that’s when this happened. But it’s resolved now, and everything is working properly—except for the Wi-Fi. But that’s a topic for another thread.

Forget the wifi in a Sync 4 retrofit, it won’t work.
