SiriusXM Traffic and Travel link not working

Hello! From the past few days ago, I did the retrofit from the Sony '14 ACM and DSP into Sony '17 ACM and DSP in my '14 fusion. I did transferred over my subscriptions from '14 ACM over to '17 ACM. Waited for 15 mins for siriusxm to refresh my radio signals and recheck it. The only thing that was subscribed is the audio and that’s it. I am still currently subscribed to all of the channels and the rest are now showing. I started to do some research and turns out that there are some software issues via the APIM and lot of issues about this so I did tried to downgrade the version from the latest to 3.4.21194 and the issues are still present. I can’t seem to be scratching my head around over this.

The ACM is not a direct swap many times. You need to change the AsBuilt settings so that Travel Link is turned on. Otherwise it may not work. Your old ACM would have been fine unless you were looking for more options like HD radio(US) in the new one. If you had the Sony system before that you probably gained nothing by upgrading the ACM to a 17 version ACM. (Ford upgraded the ACM to SiriusXM in 2018 on the Fusion).

The APIM also needs to have the correct AsBuilt in it since I can see by what years you mentioned this is an APIM upgrade to Sync 3 also. A '14 came with Sync 2/MFT.

If you have not used it than you may want to invest in Forscan to get this fixed.

I did used Forscan for this to make few changes bc '17 ACM came out from fusion hybrid like disabled ANC but both ACM as built from mine and this fusion are almost the same. Both mine and donor are titanium. And for sync 3, I had it for idk how many years now and I got it enabled before. It have been working flawlessly until I converted to different ACM. Unless I am missing something from the programming part?

Did you try sending a refresh signal?

I have had 4 Fusions. Pretty familiar with them.

Yes, I have. I did, I think at least four times and still nothing. I contacted SiriusXM about it, trying to refresh signals, off and on, etc. until they said that I will have to take my car to the dealership.

Sirius TL is a subscription service tied to the vehicle VIN and radio ESN.
