Hi all and help required with an After market rvc.
I have a 2017 (2016 my) ford transit custom, running an mfd low sat nav system, on sync 1.1. UK spec
I have run in an aftermarket camera.
But can’t get a picture up on the screen.
I have tried many different as built data configurations from different info sources and sites and in the process created my so much so that I’ve my own spread sheet with all the data out of the van.
Interestingly, the IPC shows 4 options for the reverse camera, (I am using ForScan), but the IPC allows me to write the changes to enable, but once I exit and re enter, it’s reverted back to disable !
I can activate the rvc as slave controlled by bcm in the bcm, However, it doesn’t display and creates a lin bus fault code (B115E - 08 - 0A) as it’s looking for the original camera (which has a built in control unit) so nothing happens and the screen remains the same.
It seems as though the fcdim is not being told to switch over (or not receiving a command from the bcm to display the image)
Is there a specific line of code to change, to just allow the mfd to show the picture when reverse is selected? Or
- Is there a way to convince the bcm that the original camera is there and responding and in turn this will turn/trigger all the other modules associated.
