We are doing an upgrade on a Mondeo mk5 from sync 1 to 3. The car is equipped with windshield defrost function by physical button. The question is that if we upgrade to sync 3, can is be activated on the screen in climate options? I heard that it might not work due to fcim/bcm limitations. The new panel we are fitting does not have the defrost button but instead “max AC”, thats why we are considering the on-screen activation option.
