Sync 2 to 3 ASbuild file

I am updating a 2015 Edge titanium to the sync 3 APIM and screen. I ran the VIN number for the car (2015) and comparing this to a 2016 Edge AS build. There are several additional blocks for the 2016 file compared to the 2015. Many of which I am unsure of the selection for the 2015 flash to the new Sync 3 APIM module. Do we have any users on the site that could help determine what should be selected for these additional blocks.

There are several not included on the 2015 AS build:

Deep Sleep, active city stop, alarm on exit, ECO mode, quad zone, power flow type, driver only MCS, wheel count message, etc..

Most of the original settings on the 2015 to 2016 file are the same otherwise. If someone has already flashed this for an edge and can provide the file, it would be much quicker. Can someone provide some insight on the extra settings for the 2016 ASbuild file.

Post a picture of your current APIM AB in the Sync 3 unit.

Also post what your problems are.

Thanks for the reply. I am waiting on the new parts to arrive and no problems yet. My concerns are the additional APIM blocks which do not show up on the 2015 ASbuild. Do I change any of those values or just load and see what happens? The 2016 ASbuild is from the V6 titanium with the hopes that most of it will be similar. The majority looked identical except at the bottom of the build as described above. I am hoping to prebuild the file and just flash it with minimal headaches. Below are the OEM 2015 file and the 2016 file I am working with. The 2016 being larger. Any insight is appreciated.

Post a pic of the Forscan screen, I am not going to sit here and put that in a format I can read.

Also quit trying to match you 2015 AB as that was Sync 2 and it is not the same as Sync 3 values would be.

Hades, Thanks for the screen shot of the 2 files. Based on the 0559 file, will this work on the 2015 edge? Would I be better off paying for a compatible AS file and flashing from there? This is a 1 time shot for an upgrade on the wife’s vehicle and any married man knows how this goes if it does not work out of the box. I have no experience with Forscan.

try this one see if it works for you this one has nav if yours doesn’t remove the nav its from a Ford Edge Titanium

The Edge is a 2015 Titanium model with 20”rims. I am waiting on the parts to arrive, and hope to have the Sync3 upgrade done by next week. Hades, am I looking to set those values as seen in your screen shot and load them into the APIM? That is what it seems to be. Thanks for your support!
