I looking to convert my Australian 2012 (MY13) Ford Focus ST to sync3 with nav. I have found a harness from AliExpress which they say is compatible to my car. My concern is, it shows a connector that plugs into the OEM GPS module. All the threads I have read concerning sync 3 conversion, state you need to buy a new gps dongle that plugs into the sync 3 apim. So if the harness is using the OEM GPS module, is the harness going to work?
The connector there is just to access the Canbus. You still need a separate GPS.

I have installed my harness, everything is working correctly except for the reversing camera. When I put the car in reverse, the screen goes blank as though is connecting to the camera but nothing happens. All i get is a blank screen with a + symbol in the top left of the screen. Is the oem reversing camera compatible with sync 3? What could be wrong.
Probably need to run a LIN calibration for the camera again. FORScan tools menu, LIN calibration.
