Hello, so i see lot of topic with problems when do retrofit from sync 3 but lot of them are bcs of HS4 is not in vehicle, but what about if i have in my edge already HS4? Can be it more easy or still its Hard make all work?
There are no problems having or not having HS4 and Sync 3. In the CEGA 1.3 vehicles the HS4 network was only used for the TCU and those vehicles had Sync 3.
You would only need the additional network if you used a new TCU, which would have limited capability. Keep in mind you will never get updates OTA for Sync 4 or maps and FordPass may not work with Sync 4 in your vehicle.
I dont need maps, i use waze on android auto.
But the if fordpass not work thats not good.
