Hi everyone,
I have a Ford Ranger equipped with SYNC 4, currently configured for the
Asia/America market. The only display languages available in the menu
are English and Chinese.
I need to add/switch to French, but it’s not listed as an option in the
system settings.
My current system details (from About SYNC menu):
- SYNC 4 Software Version: 23151_PRODUCT
- Revision: 902
- Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company
Does anyone know:
- Which language pack / firmware part number I need to get French added
on this software version? - Whether I also need to change the region/market code (As-Built) via
FORScan for the language option to appear? - Any compatibility risks I should be aware of before flashing?
I’d rather avoid bricking the APIM, so any guidance from someone who’s
done this on a similar Ranger (Nextgen/Asia-Pacific market) would be
greatly appreciated. Happy to share more As-Built data or VIN details
(privately) if needed.
