Sync 4 Swap Help

I need a little help, if possible. I recently did the Sync 3 to Sync 4 APIM swap in a 2019 F250, I removed pins 53/54 from the harness as directed, and my screen sits and flashes off and on periodically. Sometimes I can go one trip without it, other times it seems it flashes every 5 minutes or so. It’ll go black, and then come back on. Also, my brightness won’t adjust. This is the second APIM I’ve tried with the same results, and my screen didn’t do this when I had my sync 3 APIM connected. Thank you!

So you used a SYNC 3 screen with a SYNC 4 APIM? Did it have a 4 or 6 pin connector on the APIM?

It had the 4 pin connector. I don’t recall the vehicle it came out of, but the as built suggests an 8” screen

I just checked the listing and it says a 21 F150 was the donor vehicle

You’re using the Sync 3 screen right?

I’m not sure if this is you politely telling me the issue is because I’m using a sync 3 screen, but from everything I’ve read, that should be compatible
