Sync3 and tcu upfit

I have a 2013 f150 I have done a sync 3 upgrade as well as added a tcu and now I can see my vehicle in ford pass and see if it’s in park or running and even gives me the washer fluid status. Now I can’t see the tcu in forscan but the hotspot work and can be turned on or off in sync. Anyone know how to get the rest of the stuff to work and as far as the sync 3 I can’t get the climate overlay to work

if you run Forscan with a saved profile, you will not see the TCU. So when starting Forscan, decline loading a save profile let it create a new one.

I tried that and still can’t see it. I used my wife’s car to set it up

To get it to work with my truck I had to install it on the hs1 can on the sync 3

What TCU and APIM did you install?

You will never see the TCU in your 2013 F150 with FORScan because it is a CGEA 1.2 vehicle, rather than a CGEA 1.3. This also pertains to the climate issues, not compatible. If you are able to control the hotspot feature the truck must have been equipped with Sync 2 from the factory and now with Sync 3 you have that ability. The TCU will work somewhat, but you will never have all the features.

Start/Stop and lock/Unlock will never work. There is nothing you can do or try that will ever get these to work. Your washer fluid icon will never show empty and the Tire pressure will never work.

The most that will ever work is the TCU will show your location and that’s it. The hotspot will work as it only requires Sync 3 and is independent of all other systems.
