Greetings everyone, My name’s Ash and i recently purchased a 2017 ford fusion. I’ve been having weird issues with my sync3 system and hoping that someone here might be able to help me out. If i pair my phone to the sync3 then stays connected until i turn off the ignition. Each time the ignition is cycled off and back on it loses the paired phone. I tried doing soft resets, master resets, disconnected battery. I have tried removing gracenotes, run interrogator and even tried upgrading but each time it fails with and error MEM_ERR01. even when i try to run the interrogator i still get the same error and it does not create any log at all. I’ve possibly tried everything i can think of and nothing has worked so far. Also tried upgrading over wifi but no luck even after leaving the car running in my driveway for nearly 2 hrs.
SYNC Region: NA
Navigation Variant: Non Nav
Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20
Install Type: OEM
Old SYNC Version: 2.0.16074
New SYNC Version: 2.0.16074
Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
MEM_ERR01
Thank you for the pictures, I’ve edited your message to delete one of the pictures, since you clearly didn’t want some information to be shown but the “marker” you used was transparent, so it was visible…
Back to your issue:
it saying it’s indexing something is because there’s a file missing on the USB, so it’s, well, indexing it as it should with any USB. If a file called DONTINDX.MSA is located on the root, it should not do that.
the unit not taking any package is not a good sign, and if you ask me, it looks like a dying APIM.
You’re right about no DONTINDX.MSA file on the usb. I’m not sure if i need to put that dontindx file on usb because it was not included/mentioned on the fmods.net jailbreak hack. I’ll try to post on fmods.net and see if someone over there knows about it since it’s a jailbreak and that appears to be my only option left considering i can’t even run the interrogator or use rwdata cleaner.
