Im transferring a retrofit sync4 from my 2018 f150 to my 2016. I have the infotainment kit. After I transfered the sync 4 into my 2016 the screen and most options work fine. I just dont have audio and my steering controls are not working. I have the apim and new acm with correct cables. I also have the asbuilt from my sync3 before I pulled it saved in forscan. I can now only view it in a text editor. I also have the asbuilt from the sync4. Can I post the photos here?
What i need is the required forscan changes needed to edit on the sync4 apim for my 2016.
The 2018 was the first truck I installed the infotainment sync4. Removed the sync3 and saved it. I sold the 2018 and removed the 2018 retrofit sync4 and put the sync 3 back in. Now im trying to move that sync4 kit into my 2016. I have a 22 with sync4.
I saved both of the sync3 acm and apim asbuilt but I cant forscan wont let me display them. I can only bring them up in a text editor.
As far as the sync4 I have now installed in the 2016 I can see the forscan format. I dont understand the format that the text editor showes.
So far I have audio, xm, hd, full android auto.
I did a direct swap from the 2018 to the 2016 using the asbuilt from the 2018. I also am using the 2016 ACM sync3. I know i wont get presets unless I change out the ACM.
What i need help with is the forscan edits for the apim.
Amost everything is working except the steering wheel controls, the climate settings.
I can post my vins for the 2016 and 2018 if needed.
What would be helpful right now is knowing the blocks that need edits.
I also have backups up of both the 2016 and 2018 apim in forscan.
I know the settings from the sync3 Asbuilt but they dont just transfer over to the sync 4
I need help with 7d0 0101, 0102, 0201 0202 and any other block im missing.
