Nope, you would need to go to their site and read up on it.
Yep, it’s MY20, and since it’s a new model, it was not known to us. MY20 replacement APIMs are hard to spot since we cannot identify them unless someone sends a picture of the sticker. We will add your APIM to the MY20 list, it will help others in the future.
About options, you have:
- Naviupgrades, he has a recovery service listed. (I think you both are NA based)
- Try the recovery method yourself → GitHub - bigunclemax/sync3flash: Ford Sync 3 reformat flash tool (not for everyone, I must say)
- Buy a new APIM from a respectable seller to avoid issues. Naviupgrades also sells APIMs.
If you get your APIM recovered, you can reformat it with FMODS’ universal reformat package, but you can’t use Syn3Updater’s reformat tool (which is the leaked reformat tool from Ford)
Edit
Unit has been added as MY20, so it will be flagged as such from now on. I know that does not resolve your issue, but you sharing this information with us will help others in the future, since this type of detection is user driven. So, thank you.
Sandman, thank you. Ill see if i can ping naviupgrades to inquire about the service.
To others, thank you for all your help and suggestions.
Regards,
QC
