Update beyond 3.0.23219 not offered

Good evening everyone!
I have a 2019 Ford C-Max with Sync3.
I updated to version 3.0.23219.
When I update the maps with the “Map_47451_update” file and search for the log file after installing it on the car, the file is found, but nothing happens, and most importantly, the same update is prompted again…
Strangely, the downloaded file is only 46.4 KB.
Any opinions?

Hi,
I have a 2018 Focus with Sync 3 and have the same issue with the Ford update.

The Autoinstall.lst is as follows:
; SYNC3 Consumer Application Upgrade - Release 3.0.25 - Only for Nav/EU assemblies.

[SYNCGen3.0_ALL]
Item1 = GB5T-14G386-AE
Open1 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-AE.tar.gz
Options = Delay,Include,Transaction

I think its just an looks to be the interregator tool.

Looking online it seems that the car is too old and Ford are no longer providing map updates for this version of Sync 3.0.

They won’t be updating the website so it will always remain showing that a map update is available when there actually isn’t.

So unless anyone knows of a new map that exists for Sync 3.0 this is the end of the line…

My APIM is a MY20 version so would have to use the FMODS Universal Reformat tool if I was to update to Sync 3.4.

My concern is that I listen to most of my music from a USB drive and have read that Sync 3.4 doesn’t play nicely with stutters and sound issues.

The OP’s image shows that the maps on their vehicle is at F7.

On the site there is are instructions to manually update the maps (I have used this in the past.)

That is an Interrogator Tool, yes…
Ford is still providing maps for Sync 3.0, they are just not available yet.

As far as this goes, there are a few factors involved with the skipping and other issues. I have run Sync 3.4 since it came out and have rarely had the music skip or any audio issues as such. You will find that if you are actively using navigation on Sync 3.4 that you will get an occasional skip. This is due to the unit updating the nav route, etc. I have not had the issues that others claim, and I suspect it is due to the quality of the BT connection to the phone and what is running on the phone itself. I use an SSD drive for music in the vehicle, and now mostly use CP for nav, but do use the onboard nav for short trips if needed. Again, this all depends on how you use your devices and if you constantly leave apps running you don’t need.

Hi F150Chief,

Last EU Sync 3.0 I’ve found is F11. Its Ford Customer Service that are apparently telling people that there are no more maps for Sync 3.0. They have never provided me with confirmation one way or another when I have asked them.

Thanks for the info regarding Music playback on Sync 3.4 units.
