I have an issue where I have downloaded using Syn3 updater
but the update doesnt start when I put the USB in the port

You probably have another USB device plugged in to your car, remove it.
no other usb plugged in
Your USB is likely a cheap usb

Most branded quality USB drives will show the manufacturer, please try another USB
Second to what was already said, I would also like to point out that you should leave the install method as “auto detect” rather than forcing a reformat. While this should work as you have it now, just for future reference to avoid user error.
i think sometimes my log reports it wrong also, so i didn’t point that part out for that reason

Thanks for your help with this.
I used a brand new Apacer USB I thought it was a decent brand?
Obviously didn’t work with the 32gb only had a 16gb usb around was Apacer aswell but the update worked on it so I’m not complaining maybe the other was a bad egg from factory.
Or maybe as it was a really old version of sync couldn’t handle a 32gb drive.
Yeah it was set on auto detect
