I replaced a sync2 apim (2016 escape) with a sync3, v 1.0. Obviously, I can’t upgrade via Ford with my VIN. That’s why I’m here. My question(s):
Is there any reason not to upgrade to the latest 3.4.22200?
I read in one post that the screen color changes to blue with that version. I don’t know if that’s an issue for me, but is there a screenshot available?

Not that I could think of, unless your APIM is really really old which may have less processing power than newer models. What’s the APIM’s part number?.
About the version, I would recommend going to 3.4.21265 instead, which has been proven to be one of the most stable builds.
Finally: since your unit was converted, you may need to change some asbuilt settings afterwards.

Have you googled for Sync3 3.4 images?, you will find plenty.
If you do not like the new UI, you could go to 3.3 which has the “old” style.

I bought an asbuilt file based on my old settings from sync 3 programming. I should be OK, I’d think.
And blue is fine.
