I’m looking for assistance with an unresolved issue related to a retrofitted IPMA module in my 2018 Ford Transit Custom (BCM , April 2018).
The camera was retrofitted from a donor vehicle, the windshield is new, and the wiring harness was built according to the schematic.
The camera calibration completed successfully. After upgrading from SYNC 2.5 to SYNC 3, a previous IPC communication fault was also resolved.
However, one issue remains:
IPMA (KK2T-19H406-CC) consistently reports: U2100 – Initial Configuration Not Complete
Vehicle specifications:
-
Transit Custom 2018.5+ with BCM KK2T
-
VIN: WF0YXXTTGYJJ81800
-
Trim level: Limited
-
SYNC 3 sourced from a Custom
-
IPMA retrofitted from a donor
-
No electric power steering (no EPAS/PSCM)
-
Standard cruise control
-
Aftermarket/retrofitted CVBS reverse camera
-
Rain and light sensor
-
Planning to enable AHB (Auto High Beam)
-
No front radar (no ACC/AEB)
-
Front and rear PDC
-
ABS and ESP present
Symptom:
-
U2100 reappears immediately after clearing.
-
Camera calibration finished without errors.
-
The camera operates physically and all other modules on the network show no communication issues.
-
IPMA refuses to complete its initial setup procedure.
I need help determining:
-
The correct IPMA AsBuilt values for a Transit Custom 2018.5 without EPAS, using camera KK2T-19H406-CC.
-
Which parameters must be enabled in BCM and IPC (LDW, TSR, AHB, Camera Type, etc.) for the IPMA to finalize configuration.
-
A working IPMA AsBuilt dump (lines 700–740) from a 2018.5+ Custom with the same camera.
-
Whether U2100 on this model clears only after a full Vehicle Configuration download (FDRS/UCDS), or if manual AsBuilt editing is sufficient.
Any verified information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
