Which IPC version do I have? '14 F-150 w Cluster Screen

2014 F-150 5.0 SuperCrew Platinum - (on Sync 3)

Hello all!
I see that there’s several IPC options in the database and I’m guessing mine might either be IPC Type 1 or IPC Type 2. Could someone confirm which one my truck has?

I’d like to remove as many of the chimes as possible, and my IPC module page doesn’t have chime option, so I’m guessing I’ll have to modify the As-Built.

Also, does anyone know if it’s possible to remove:

  • The APPS tab in Sync 3
  • The CD option in Sources?

On page 87 and 91 of your owner’s manual it will show you the cluster types.

AHH! That’s funny! I hadn’t thought of looking in the manual, because I thought “type 1 & type 2” was some internal deep underground lingo!

I do not believe you can. At least I have never seen it done or talked about.

No, you cannot remove the APPS menu from the IPC or APIM.
CD option in sources? This is in Sync 3 display? If yes, then you can disable that, setting is in the Sync 3 database.
