Wrong APIM firmware installed

I have a 2017 F150 Limited with factory 8 inch screen Sync 3 with Navagation. I bricked my APIM a few months ago and used the recovery files from this site and got it working again. I am pretty sure I ended up with the wrong firmware for my platform on my APIM and I am not sure how to find out what firmware I need. I have not been able to get my Pro trailer backup or my reverse camera zoom to work. Ford PTS lists my hardware as HP5T-14G380-BA. I am currently on sync 3.4.20220 my last offical Ford update of Sync was SYNC3 v3.0.20204. How do I know what Firmware should be installed on my APIM?

You should be on this from the factory:
3.0 APIM NAV & NON-NAV Unit Firmware (Production Release, 2017-Pre-2018.5, H-Early J Series)
(Originally Found On 2017/Early 2018 Units That Ship with 2 USB Ports on Back)
GB5T-14G376-AA
HB5T-14G374-CA
HB5T-14G375-DA (-DA is for NAV Units…)
GB5T-14G379-AA
HB5T-14G379-BA

Where you are now is not bad, but you should be on the above firmware. I would downgrade to 3.3.19052 and program the firmware above, master reset, then see if the features will work with the correct asbuilt parameters.

Should be a 2 or 4 depending on how the vehicle is equipped.

I sure am glad you know so much about Ford Sync. Thank you. My current 7D0-06-01 is D4B2 and that’s whole line. I am going to do the downgrade and try to correctly end up on the correct firmware.

Looking at my factory as built data on Fordtechservice 7D0-06-01 is 8866

Am I able to and if so are there any benefits to upgrading my truck to the My18.5 or My20?

Not for this vehicle, really. Upgrading to MY18.5 will be no harm, and will improve the performance of Sync somewhat. MY20 will potentially introduce issues as the software/firmware would have some compatibility issues.
