More than likely, you have a 2020 APIM and you cannot reformat it or you will brick the unit. EU maps also take a 64Gb APIM. NA cars only get a 32Gb APIM for Nav.
I know its only 32gb but is it possible to upload less map right?
Although you could technically just upload the maps, it would end up with a bricked APIM due to storage space availability. There are a few threads here that will illustrate the failure.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS…!
You will need to replace the APIM with an EU version, 64GB.
To clarify, without REFORMAT you can not change region, with my20 units you can not REFORMAT therefore you can not do what you want.
