1.0 to 3.0 to 2.2

Hey all. I wanted CarPlay, purchased the USB, updated sync via wifi. It updated to 3.0.2. Couldn’t get CarPlay to work. So I downgraded to 2.2 and now CarPlay works!

My question is this… should I upgrade back to 3.0.2? And why doesn’t Ford give me the option to go to 3.4 on MyFord?
Is it worth going to 3.4 and risking never being able to downgrade again?

Thanks all!

Hello.

That build does not exist, but yes, I would upgrade to the latest 3.0

You should ask Ford.
I would say marketing and “hardware limitations”.

That’s up to you to decide.

I’m on 2.2.17011 currently. Thank you for your help the last week. I don’t know the perks of 3.4 vs 3.0 and 2.x. I’m having a hard time finding a change log of sorts

There’s no change log, but basically a more modern UI, some new features and maps…

Issues, for Kuga and Focus a flickering screen while auto adjusting brightness, and some say music playback from USB produces a click / small skip sometimes…
