I don’t see a listing for that Sync 3 version. Are you sure this is Sync 3 or is this a Sync 1 variant with a 4 inch screen, being non-nav.
If this is a Sync 3 version, 1.1.xxxxx, you will likely need to split the installation because the APIM is running out of memory, or disk space. This is common with Sync Non-Nav versions. Even Ford accounts for this in their own autoinstall scripting for the later Sync 3.0 Non-Nav updates. The early versions of Sync 3, like yours, can be problematic to upgrade, but will upgrade nonetheless.
Yes, 2016. Lol. I got it to install, only issues now is it keeps popping up saying usb hub is not supported and to remove the usb. The usb isnt in there.
You need to replace the usb hub to remove that message and use car play, android auto will work with that message.
Since this is no longer an issue, I’m closing the thread.
