Perhaps you should load the map files…

did not realize i did not… shove the usb drive back in? or did i not load the maps from the get go?

The best way is to load the maps via reformat. You will downgrade to Sync 3.3 and then reformat. The Syn3 Updater will do this for you, leave it in automatic mode.

So, using the Syn3 Updater, configure your vehicle for teh present Sync version, 3.4 23188, then tell it you are in NA and you have NAV. Once that is done, go to the upgrade screen and select 3.4 23188 and the latest maps. It will configure for downgrade, and then download it all and let the app do it’s thing. Once done, put that in the vehicle, it will take a total of about 40 minutes. Run the vehicle and grab a book or something, do not leave the vehicle unattended, You WILL NOT KEY CYCLE OR SHUT DOWN the vehicle until you get the GRENN screen at the very end. The process will reboot the AOIM several times and seem not to do anything , but don’t worry, it is working but the update for status is less than timely. Once the process is finished and you see the GRENN screen, remove the usb, the unit will reboot. Keep the vehicle running. Let the unit boot until the NAV is fully functional. At this point you will perform a Master Reset. Let the unit fully reboot, you’re good to go. Add your phones and such and that’s it.
