2015 Ford Explorer SYNC 2 to 3 update, Nav Fault

Swapped the Sync 3 from a 2017 F350 Platinum into a 2015 explorer, new to the as - built but have been figuring it out. Everything seems to work fine except when I turn the vehicle on it say navigation fault. I close the pop-up wait about 10 seconds and navigation works fine. I’m sure there is another code I am missing for navigation to clear this issue out. I can add photos of the as-built data but can’t figure out how :sweat_smile:. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance

Are you using a Ford OEM GPS antenna or a generic GPS antenna.

That did not work for me. Had same issue. Got a Ford OEM SiriusXM/GPS antenna to replace the SiriusXM antenna on the roof and bought the Ford splitter that goes along with it. That solved my problem.

Since my replacement antenna was the same size as the original I switched the covers retaining the color coordinated antenna cover.

Get a OEM Sharkfin off a 17-19 Explorer and than an OEM splitter and you will not have any problems. Thats what I did on my 2015 and it works great.
