2018 Ford Fiesta Audio/Source problems - Any advice appreciated

Updated to 3.0.20204 (Unsure of previous version) using Ford portal a short while back but overnight last week the Sync wouldn’t connect to anything other than Android Auto, after disconnecting the phone (USB & Bluetooth) the Sync will not connect to any source (Including Android Auto) and I also get the following symptoms:

  1. Loud thud from the speakers (Sub?) as often as every 15 seconds - reboot loop? -This even happens after I have turned the engine off and locked the vehicle
  2. Can only select another source (other than the radio AM default) during the 15 seconds between ‘thuds’, even this is intermittent
  3. No volume control

I have tried a master reset and a soft reset? (Power + Forward skip)
I am considering updating to 3.4 from 3.0.20204 to see if it clears the fault but something (The boot loop) makes me think it may be hardware failing and I’d rather not add insult to injury by flashing it badly and causing more problems than I already have…

I was just hoping for some suggestions from a well informed community so if anyone has something they can offer please let me know.

Update Method: Official Ford

Pull the battery cable for about ~30 minutes to force a clean cold boot of all the modules.

Going to be able to try this over the next day or two, unfortunately, I discovered that my bonnet/hood won’t open properly, I had my grill replaced a few weeks ago so something mustn’t be aligned properly since the bumper remove/refit.
