2019 F150 - Sync 3.4.23188 Not working properly

Hello,
I have a 2019 F150i have had issues with my sync system since there was a WIFI update completed to version 3.4.23188 which is the latest version. Since that update issues have kept coming up with my system. Issues with bluetooth having to re connect after each ignition startup, having to do soft resets several times during the day, laggy screen and reactivity etc. From what i have seen it almost seems like the Wifi update was not completed correctly which is causing the issues. Dealing with Ford helpline and with the dealer, they are at the point that the only solution is to replace the APIM which i would rather not do. I am just looking for the best solution which seems to be downgrading my current version and then redoing the update properly. Would this be the best method?

You might just need to run the cleaning tool depending on what version you came from…..

You will find this in the Syn3Updater.

That’s what i am trying to do but i am having issues with creating the USB for the RW Data Cleaner USB.

It starts and then this error pops up

is there something i am doing wrong

It seems to be having issue accessing the http://ivsu.binaries.ford.com/ website to access the file which is why it seems to be having this issue. Can anyone else access this and its just me or what?

Did you get a notice from Ford for recall 25V442 or 25S72?

I did not get a recall notice for this. This does happen to me from time to time though.

Unless I’m mistaken, the cleaner won’t help you… The package looks for specific builds, yours is not one of them, so it would not process the logs (I may be mistaken, but I also think I may not).

So, you need to either manage to perform a master reset or reformat the unit…

Dang, hoping the cleaner would be of use but at this moment i cant even download the file to the USB using the Sync3Updater. It seems like the website/database is not accessible as i keep getting the error.

I have attempted a master reset to no avail. it keeps hanging on the confirmation screen. i have read that some have forced this reset by performing 3 soft resets and then the master reset. I will try that as i had my truck in the dealership last week and they performed a reprogram of the APIM, performed configuration and then checked for dtcs which it passed. So outside of the master reset and then possibly doing the reformat.

Ford’s servers are not accesible at the moment, not only for the tool but for any package, nothing we can do about that at the moment. Keep checking from time to time if Ford decides to solve their servers…

Yes, the “multiple consecutive SR and then MR attempt” was something people had some success with in the past… not guaranteed, but you can’t do anything else at the moment…

EDIT: Azure is having issues, once again… So that’s why Ford’s servers access is not possible at the moment… Again, nothing we can do at the moment…

Could be part of the worldwide Microsoft outage today. Nevermind I see Sandman already saw it.

Little bit of a long shot, but I have had some luck with stubborn APIMs that got upgraded from 3.4.22xxx to 3.4.23188 OTA and still misbehaved by dropping to 3.4.21265.

After that, run the cleaner by itself, after it finishes turn off the car and leave the doors closed for 30 minutes so the APIM goes to sleep, then do the full package update to 3.4.23188 (app/voices/GraceNote).

Your real/data folder is full. Leftover OTA installation files likely. Soft reboot the APIM 2 times in a row and then perform a master reset.

Hello thanks for the tips and guidance, Seems like the ford server is back up. i was able to create the rwdata cleaner and then did that to my truck. Here is the log afterwards. not sure it did anything as it seems like it didn’t.

i have tried to do a master reset after a soft reset of 2 times and then it just hangs on the master reset. not sure how long i should wait until i shut it off. or if it will infinitely hang until i do a soft reset every time. outside of this procedure completing the downgrade and then the cleaner and then the full package update may be a possibility.

All known methods for solving your current issue are documented in the link sent before, if none of those work sadly we do not have any other procedure to recommend at the moment.

thanks for the help i wanted to try it anyway as i may as well exhaust all options prior to replacement. i will try some other options and see what i can find out. I appreciate the support. i will update if i can make some progress.
