Regarding my Focus 2019, I upgraded 3 months ago the factory Sync3 version to 3.4 19200 version (EU & NAVI).
All fine except for some Bluetooth bugs with long Greek characters and wrong Greek fonts in the Navi.
Now, Ford released the official version in their website. From the autoinstall.lst it seems that it is a good version to go with:
Are the âGreekâ characters only in Bluetooth, or in the Sync NAV itself? If only in Bluetooth, I suspect your phone is responsible for that, not Sync.
As far as updating Sync, it should work fine. 20196 fixed a few bugs that were in the previous versions.
I think there is an option now in the Syn3 Updater to update only maps for EU. Check it out.
F150chief, actually is 20136 not 20196, but for sure is newer than 19200.
My basic problem is that long Android Contacts with Greek characters, crashed the BT connection and it needs a full restart to both devices (Xiaomi phone), plus a rename to the Contact itself.
Other issue is the wrong appearance of a Greek Font in Navi, but no big deal.
My question is, why the official release is so small in data size (apr. 2 GB)? Maybe including only the local maps/voices etc (Not whole EU I meanâŚ)?
Youâre in Greece or using Greek language on Sync? If so, the improper Greek characters has been reported before, and I know of no fix in the NAV. As far as the phone, youâll have to rename you contacts to play well with Sync.
You should update to 20196, as some of the previous bugs have been fixed. I donât know if this particular one was addressed. I donât know why the maps are the way they are.
