Many thanks for the great support. successfuly updated with some deletion of maps/voice packages.
All functions work fine.
Awesome, i want to add this to the app but its figuring out the best way to do this that i’m struggling with
In this case, experiment shows that the limit for raw data on USB is about 13/14G , a threshhould for successfull extracting/installaton.
Great news, if you do have a chance to provide a write up of what you did (and the hardware version of your APIM) I’m sure others will find it useful.
A. download via “downloader” the desired version. In my case EU maps 19274 on 2016 model EDGE, origionally from US .
B. follow the down loader all the way to get USB ready.
C. delete the unnecessary maps/voice datapacks on USB, as well as on “reformat” list.
D. plug USB in the car and boom, installed.

Excellent many thanks!
All function works. only problem is a popup of “USB hub not supported. please remove” each time the car starts.
That’s an incompatibility with the usb hub in your vehicle, buying a newer one will resolve this.
Thanks a lot. In spite of this pop up, the current USB hub works fine with android auto. will live with this popup for a while and change to newer hub in future.
I bought the one in pucture, which claims support fast charging with type c. will update once received and installed.
current USB hub sometimes does not show pop-up upon starting…
this could be related to bugs in 20021
The file must be corrupted. Try the manual process.
Hi @CyanLabs, can you provide a reference what are the known bugs in 20021? It seems not very clear what are the bugs because I have successfully installed that version and so far no issues were encountered.
Try using usb and radio it will sometimes not work or switch randomly
I have the same problem
He follows what colleague Aaron wrote.
I understand that deleting a map area is about discarding the file; for example 1U5T-14G421-BEF 1.6Gb from the catalog.
However, how to delete VOICES files.
I need to save this device, it must not necessarily be updated and have EU maps.
However, it must work
Installed new USB Port. Everything works fine now - android auto/carplay/flash drive.
Excellent! Does the usb c port fast charge your device out of interest?
Just ordered a type c charging cable, will measure and update when it comes.
