Everything else works great. Just the reverse camera screen is very dim. It shows up bright for a split second before and after changing to reverse and is dim after that.
I can’t figure out how to get the brightness back.

If you have not done so, perform a Master Reset of the Sync unit (APIM). In Settings > General > scroll down to Master Reset.

Thanks for the tip F150chief. Did a master reset this morning but no changes. It is usable in daylight because its so bright outside but dusk and darker areas are a problem. Not sure if doing this update has caused it somehow?

Check your lighting settings for the vehicle. Under Sync 3.4, the APIM lighting dimming is now controlled thru the vehicle lighting. If you have auto lighting, try setting that to manual. Also, check the Sync setting for display dimming. You could set it to daytime and test it. I searched the Ranger and F-150 forums and did not find anything about an issue like this.

Another user with this exact issue, same model, year and region, stated that downgrading to 19101 solved the issue.
