3.4 working fine for 1 of our iPhones

I upgraded to 3.4 a while ago and it resolved all issues we had, however the past week or so my wife’s iPhone 15 will charge but doesn’t get CarPlay to come up. My iPhone 13 is fine and works every time

Question - I’ve seen doing a master reset could help, but if I do that will it reset it and keep the 3.4 update, or will it restore it to 3.1 or whatever it was from factory? As it says it’ll reset to factory settings

Also is there anything you need to delete on the iPhone itself like does it add a profile to the phone you need to delete to make it fresh for trying to set up a new phone to car play?

Very strange as it’s been working for maybe 8 months then suddenly now won’t work with hers. Tried different cables and ports

SYNC Region: EU

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20

Install Type: OEM

Old SYNC Version: 3.1

New SYNC Version: 3.4

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
N/A

Update Method: CyanLabs Manual Method

Master reset wipes out settings, is doesn’t revert the version of Sync3.
Delete the BT pairing on her phone as well, if it still has an issue using the same cord and USB plug as yours the problem is with her phone, not Sync3.

Thanks I tried that, it came up instantly with setting up new car play device. Clicked accept etc but did nothing. Tried with two cables

Mine is a different cable, the older lightning one and hers is UCB-C. As I said it’s odd as was working fine never any issues and randomly stopped

Will try a new cable (maybe a legit Apple one), if not I guess next step would be to reset her phone

You’ve got a pre-2020 with a USB C port as part of the factory module or is this something you added?
Try using a USB-A to USB-C adapter so that you can plug her phone into the USB A.
This may just be a case of a bad USB port.

It’s a usb-a port yeah the cable is A-C. There is a second port I’ll try. Just weird as it works with mine. But will try the other one once she’s back
