updating from a SYNC 3.0 to 3.4 and have gotten this file error code. I redownloaded the file and replaced it on the USB but still same result. 2017 Fusion (I am in NA).
Any ideas on how I can get around this? Now the unit is in upgrade mode and wont restart to where it was at 3.0. THANKS!

Is that the complete log.txt that you have posted?
Looks a little bit like the LOG part is missing.
The lst-files-list looks fine on the first glance. How does your screen on the Sync exactly looks like?
It just says Updating system software or was there already the Installation Complete message?
Do not remove the USB stick at this point
After the rebooting of the Sync you should see:
Remove the usb at the point you see this:
After that perform a master reset

Can you try it with another USB-Stick?
I guess this file is either corrupt from the download (most probably not) or has some issues from the transfer to the USB
By the way version 2.03 of the Syn3Updater is available.
Personally i recommend to redo the download again.
Since 4u5t-14g241-cbc : pkg_err03 is also stated in your topic.
Which is the pretty some steps in front of the file that was failing at least one time during the validation.
I re-downloaded on a different micro sd card, got the same file error (with orange screen) about 10 min in. It happens during map extraction. I used the 2.03 downloader.

As @Louage said use an USB stick, best case one branded one Sandisk or similiar.
I have in mind that some people had problems with some USB sticks.
If that is not helping clean your download folder of the Syn3Upadater and do the download again.
Maybe one of the downloaded file was/is corrupted.
looks like you are trying to install MAPS on a non nav unit, failing at CBC is common for non nav units, there is not enough space to install MAPS on a non nav unit.
