Hello

My Brother downloaded the update and at the very end it came up with this error, he doesnt have a laptop to upload the log and im currently on holiday - he darent turn his ignition off incase something breaks…

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Picture is cropped, no idea at what point during the process it error’d as the time is off the photo. Assuming you are trying to install NAV on a NON NAV or EU Maps on a NA/ROW Unit.

it happens towards the end of the installation, like 45mins in, he is doing maps and sync update

Right but you completely missed my point, the time is not in the picture, you haven’t provided a log, am i playing a guessing game?

4U5T-14G422-BCK is EU Voice Nav so either it isn’t a EU APIM or that package is corrupt or the USB is shit.

I assume that if your brother does not have a laptop for uploading the logs then he has option to use Syn3updater, right?.

He came to mine after he saw how much of a improvement it made, i made it for him and i went on vacation, he has only just tried it today so when i get home ill get the log, after the error he just gets a insert USB message on his screen and nothing else, so he cant use his apim normally, he’ll just have to wait till i get back

Yes, he will have to wait until you return, the unit won’t be operative until the reformat phase is completed.
