That’s the one I got. It’s equipped with NA2 of 21 maps…
It is also up to date for firmware, so all good.
My APIM pins should be here tomorrow. I’ll get positions 27 & 28 pinned in instead of just shoving bare wire in there. Hoping that’s my problem, finger s crossed
Interesting ACM. I have never seen one with the metal tabs around the SAT and radio connectors.
23 Maverick. Notice the assembly numbers are 14G523, but still carry the 14G371 part numbers.
I purchased it off ebay just for the rear ACM connectors. Wanted to play It safe.. using a spare as a guinea pig to get the pins out of it. Well worth the $55 investment if you ask me. It came out of a 2018 focus. I have seen some APIM’s woth those tabs as well, usually 2017-2018.
Patience paid off! I have the album art and the logos along the preset slider ribbon. I bought a used APIM harness off of ebay and sourced the pins from it. (finally came in the mail today.) Removing the pins from the APIM and ACM harness are different procedures. Just stating this for anyone that decides to tackle this in the future, And no the pins are not interchangeable. I would suggest to anyone attempting this to source spare APIM and ACM connectors for your pins and then you will be familiar with how to insert them into your vehicle’s respective connector.
F150Chief…thank you again! Do you know if there is a way to keep my climate screen. It was on my APIM even after I made your as built changes. However, When I plugged in Pins 27 and 28 into the APIM harness that must have activated the X40 chip however, I lost my climate screen. Is there a way to get it back?
Reload your asbuilt for the APIM and perform a reset via FORScan. If FORScan says there is nothing to write select force write or write anyways. If it does not fix it take a pic and post it here so I know exactly what you are seeing.
My as built would not have the climate screen as my truck is only an XLT. I had earlier used The Forscan spreadsheet located over on the FTE site to get the climate screen & what I think is called the "climate repeater " which displays the heated seats and steering wheel when they are activated on the top portion by the clock. See below for changes that I had made..
Do you know if this newer ACM has the ability to display FM
Do you know if this newer ACM has the ability to display FM station logos here in the USA?
Only if the station broadcasts the logo. It is not mandatory.
OK thank you…do any Forscan changes need to be made to enable this feature?
No. LR3T-19C107-FF has the software and firmware to decode FM, DAB, Sirius XM on board.
That’s great news…Thanks F150Chief for walking me thru this project. Thanks also to Cyanlabs for hosting/developing such an awesome platform!
For any one else considering this, in my opinion , it would rank a 6 for difficulty on a 1-10 scale. The below links will help you…
Thanks…
I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing as far as FM logos. I had a friend who has a 2025 Subaru forester tune in to 3 aeperate FM HD radio stations and receive station logos. I try the same stations and nothing other than the HD logo and station and song information. I just enabled the APIM calm screen with Forscan and that didn’t help either after a master reset.
I have never heard of any Sync 3 system getting FM logos in the US. Sync 4 might be another story.
I don’t listen to a lot of FM stations, but of the ones I do listen to I have rarely seen station logos or artwork, and that is with a newer X40 capable ACM.
