Audio + Call Issues after update

After the update I have experienced:

  • Audio volume reduced to 0 after navigation prompt from google maps
  • Audio will not resume (music or podcasts) after navigation prompt
  • Phone Calls not displaying or ringing, but I am able to answer on my phone it is connected to vehicle
  • Occasional skipping of music and audio
  • Random disconnect of Android Auto

These are all while plugged in via USB

(All of the above happen at different rates, but not every time. Anywhere from 30-70% of the time)

I did a full reset after update
I purchased a brand new USB hub for vehicle and new cables with no change.
I have not attempted a re-install or downgrade

Any advice or guidance is welcome and I am thankful!

These all look like they are related to the BT connection. To confirm, the audio skipping (music) is audio from the phone, not from USB or other?

Did you delete the Sync connection from the phone when you did the Master Reset? If you didn’t, then the old cache for the connection still exists for the old software.

Do this:

  1. Delete the Sync connection from the phone and reboot the phone to clear the app cache.
  2. Perform another master reset of Sync.
  3. Re-pair the phone with Sync and test.

This usually clears the issues above. But there could be issues with Sync 3.4.22110. I had to do the same with my iPhone.

Thank you! I should have so clarified these are via usb while running android auto. I did also delete the sync connection during troubleshooting. No luck so far.

I used iPhone so I’m not so familiar with the Android stuff. Someone else could chime in on their experiences…
