Auto Update from Ford?

I have a 2019 Ford F-150. I was about to use for the first time Syn3 Updater from 3.4.20136 NA 118 to 3.4.21098 NA 220. Before I inserted my usb stick I notice auto update over wifi in my radio setting was downloading. After the ford auto update was completed I was on 3.4.21020 with maps NA 220. Found it wired the maps updated for free from Ford. Doesn’t Ford charge for maps updates? Anyone else had this happen to them?

Depends on your region, you get maps free for X amount of years in some places.

Found it wired because I never got free maps update and I was told I had to pay for them. Well I’ll take them free :joy:. But I will still use Syn3 update to get latest version. Thanks for the info!
