Hi guys, please help. I have a Ford Galaxy made in 2017 Sync 3 EU region with maps. The update via Syn3updater ended badly with a black screen. After reading a few other similar posts, I started to suspect where the mistake was. I took the center panel apart in the car to look at the APIM unit markings. Unfortunately, the APIM is from 6/2021. I had no idea that the 2017 car had a new 2021 APIM unit, I’m the second owner and didn’t know about it.
What now? Is the only solution really to throw out the APIM unit and buy a new one? If so, can you please recommend a proven source so I don’t buy the wrong one? Obviously, I prefer the lowest possible price.
I want the APIM unit to do at least the same, to have maps and not have less memory. How do I find out how many GB my destroyed APIM unit drive has?
