I’ve seen the iPhone con OK sticker also on G and H series units.
Usually they are units factory loaded with a pre-2.2.x build and Ford’s guidance wasn’t the best when an iPhone wouldn’t work. They would tell the tech to replace the USB hub (since some models in 2016 shipped with non-iPhone compatible units) and if that didn’t do it, it was a new APIM that came in with the current build (which did work with an iPhone).
The “bad” APIM would go back for refurb/diagnosis and the bench techs would load the current build on it, test it and mark it.
