Brightness resets/not adjustable

Just upgraded from version 3.0 build 18025 to sync 3.4.21194 and while i can control the brightness while the car is only on Acc but once started the brightness is locked and the screen is to dark to see. even going in to the screen setting and adjusting the brightness it doesn’t change and then resets to default.

Am i missing something or is there a fix for this?
