DAB after update

I successfully updated to 3.4.23188 in a UK 2017 Ford Focus.
Everything is working great apart from the DAB. Favorites are showing and play however it won’t scan for new stations.
Also, the guide mentioned adding the station logos to the system but wasn’t it that guide. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have NEVER seen my DAB scan for new stations, i thought this was a background feature. As for Logo’s, don’t hold your breath waiting,

DAB is just like HD radio here in the states, it’s a set of sub channels on the non-DAB radio station band.
You have to go to the actual station first, wait for the DAB or HD channels to show on the screen and then you can save them as a preset.
If none of the DABs are working check your audio settings screen to make sure that DAB is still enabled.

The logos come down to whether or not the station broadcasts them on its primary DAB band.
If they are not broadcasting them there’s nothing to populate from.
Its not like Sirius here in the states where the logos for some of the channels are part of the ACM’s firmware.

FYI…The APIM Sync 3 application contains all of the SiriusXM channel logos, including the 360L versions, with the exception of holiday or special event channels which are OTA. These are located in the HMI directory.

Then Ford hasn’t updated the default Sirius channel logos in close to 5 years?

Easiest one to pick as an example is CH56 The Highway, the logo for that station changed in late 2018 right after Xmas, if this is the case it would mean a QA fail on the app.

The only problem with this is that I’ve done a couple of upgrades for folks over the last few weeks, J series APIM in a 2015 Fusion Ti using the original ACM and the correct logos populated immediately on a fresh load of 3.4.21265 when the Sirius acct was activated, while an L series sourced from a 2020 Fusion SE with a fresh 3.4.21265 dropped into 2016 Fusion SE still hasn’t after 3 weeks.
The L series in my 2018 still hasn’t loaded the updated default logos for the stations that were there in 2018 after it had Ford’s RW data cleaner touch it and 3.4.23188 was installed even with a full reformat back to 3.4.21265.

You added the additional wiring for the DRDL and SDL links? I don’t think the older ACM can talk to the APIM. If you used the original ACM in the 2016 Fusion that will never work. The sat radio decoder will not decode the newer format. You will need to dumb down the APIM (firmware) to -DA for this to work, most likely.

A Fusion/F150 2020 APIM (basically one with the screen attached) will work with the ACM in a Fusion/Mondeo/Kuga/Escape/F150 (from what I’ve done, probably more) going back to a 2013. The Sirius XM will only give you what was offered the year of the ACM as it doesn’t have the X40 no additional wiring is needed. Just have to have 7D0–08-01 xxxX xxxx xxxx set to 0.

If you add an X40 you only have to add the pin 4 to pin 28 and pin 5 to pin 27 changes, the other pair is already there.

Yes. My comment was about X40 not working. Some vehicles need the other pair added also if they are CGEA 1.2. Not all.
